Challenge Purchase Terms
Last updated: 2026-07-13 · Version: draft-0.1
These terms apply when you purchase enrollment in a TrakMac challenge. They are shown at checkout and, together with the Medical and Fitness Disclaimer, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy, govern your purchase. The operating brand is What We Do Collective ("TrakMac," "we," "us"). The exact registered legal entity is [TO CONFIRM: registered legal entity name and state or country of formation].
1. What you are buying
You are purchasing enrollment in a time-boxed fitness challenge created and run by an independent creator (the "Creator"), delivered through the TrakMac iOS app. Your purchase includes access to the Creator's challenge content (workouts, meal guidance, targets, coaching messages) and TrakMac app access for the challenge window (the "Entitlement"). The challenge has a fixed start date and duration shown on the storefront.
- The Creator, not TrakMac, is responsible for the program content and coaching. TrakMac provides the technology, the app, and payment processing.
- You must have or create a TrakMac account and a compatible iOS device to access the challenge.
- Your challenge access ends when the challenge window ends. It does not automatically become a paid TrakMac subscription.
2. The challenge fee and the app subscription are separate
There are two different transactions, and it matters which is which:
- The challenge fee is a one-time charge you pay on the web, processed by Stripe. TrakMac is the platform and merchant of record for the challenge fee, and pays the Creator their share through Stripe. This is the fee these Purchase Terms cover.
- The TrakMac app subscription is a separate, optional product. If you choose to keep using the TrakMac app beyond your challenge, the app offers a 7-day free trial and then a subscription of $7.99 per month (or the equivalent shown in your local currency). That subscription is billed by Apple through your Apple Account under Apple's terms. It is not part of the challenge fee, TrakMac keeps it, and the Creator receives no share of it.
3. Price, billing, taxes
- The price shown for the challenge is a one-time charge, in the currency displayed.
- Payment is processed by Stripe. TrakMac and the Creator do not store your full card details.
- Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and added at checkout via Stripe Tax based on your location, and shown before you pay. Whether tax is displayed as included or added depends on your jurisdiction.
4. Health acknowledgement (required)
Before purchase you must accept the Health Acknowledgement and Medical and Fitness Disclaimer. You may not enroll if you cannot truthfully accept it, or if you are under 18.
5. Refund policy
- Before the challenge start date: full refund on request, up to 24 hours before the start.
- Digital-content withdrawal (EU and UK): if you request access to challenge content before the challenge start date, you may be asked to consent to begin immediately and to acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for that content. Where required by law, we honor the 14-day cooling-off period instead.
- After the challenge starts: because this is time-boxed digital content and coaching that has begun, sales are generally final. As a goodwill measure, you may request a refund within a 7-day satisfaction window after the start, at TrakMac's or the Creator's discretion.
- Creator cancellation or material change: if the Creator cancels the challenge, fails to deliver, or materially changes the start date or scope, you are entitled to a full refund.
- How to request: contact support at [TO CONFIRM: challenge support email]. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Refunds revoke the challenge Entitlement, so your challenge access ends.
Refund rights vary by jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer rights, including EU and UK rights of withdrawal and various US state rules, apply where they cannot be waived. The specific governing law and any additional jurisdiction terms are [TO CONFIRM: governing law state and venue].
6. Chargebacks
- Please contact support before disputing a charge with your bank. Most issues, such as a wrong charge or an access problem, are resolved faster directly.
- Filing a chargeback will immediately revoke your challenge Entitlement pending resolution.
- Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks, such as disputing a challenge you accessed and used, may result in loss of access and a ban from future challenges. We reserve the right to submit evidence of access and usage to the card network.
7. Acceptable use and conduct
Be respectful in cohort channels. No harassment, spam, or sharing of others' data. One account per person. Do not share or resell your Entitlement. Violations may end your access without refund.
8. Disclaimers, liability, governing law
Your use is subject to the Medical and Fitness Disclaimer, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrakMac's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the challenge, and TrakMac is not liable for the Creator's program or for any health outcome. Governing law, venue, and dispute terms are [TO CONFIRM: governing law state, venue, and dispute-resolution terms]. Mandatory consumer rights are not waived where they cannot be.
