Common questions

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The 7-day trial starts when you download from the App Store. Apple may ask for payment info when you set up your Apple ID, but TrakMac doesn't require it to trial the app.

What happens when the trial ends?

You'll see a paywall and can choose monthly ($7.99) or annual ($59.99). If you don't subscribe, you can still see your logged history — you just can't add new meals until you subscribe.

How accurate are the macro estimates?

Typically within about 10–15% of a weighed, database-verified log for normal meals. Complex restaurant dishes or unusual home recipes have more variance. TrakMac is built for "close enough to matter" tracking, not clinical-grade precision.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — immediately and without any friction. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → TrakMac → Cancel. You keep access through the end of your paid period.

Is my voice stored anywhere?

No. Voice transcription uses Apple's on-device Speech framework — it never goes to our server. Only the text transcript (what you said) is sent for macro estimation, and only to process your request.

What devices does TrakMac work on?

iPhone running iOS 17 or later. No Android version planned.
